Description: The Certified Medical Assistant performs various clinical and technical duties and tasks which includes assisting with direct and indirect treatment and care of adults, and geriatric patients. Assists in preparing and maintaining clinic readiness including but not limited to chart checks, maintaining neat, orderly, and supplied exam rooms and sets up for procedures as indicated. Assists with appointment scheduling, retrieving and documenting voice mail information from patients accurately in the patient's medical record and forwarding information and records to the appropriate practitioner, nursing staff, and/or manager/director in a timely manner. Must have High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent and completion of a Medical Assistant Program. Description:  The Senior Billing Collections Representative is responsible for billing, collections and reconciliation of all insurance claims. Monitors recurring rejected claims to management for evaluation of impact on the timely filing of claims. Reviews claims for accuracy, performs required edits, submits claims and/or rebills to payers daily to ensure timelines of claim submission. Researches and responds to incoming patient, payer, physicians and or representative inquiry by telephone and/or mail. Must have High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, 1 plus year of Medical Billing/Collector experience.

Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist – Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join the faculty of the Department of Psychiatry. The Department of Psychiatry staffs the John Peter Smith Hospital Network’s Behavioral Health Services that include: Adult and Adolescent inpatient services, long term care unit, med/psych unit, comprehensive Consultation Liaison, including trauma services, 24 hour Psychiatric Emergency Center, Assessment Center, Urgent Walk-in Clinic, five (5) Outpatient Clinics and four (4) community-based Partial Hospital Programs. The inpatient services are designed around a collaborative multi-disciplinary team that includes psychiatrically trained Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Social Workers, a Clinical Pharmacist, and a nursing staff that is experienced, committed and collaborative. Faculty will provide leadership, direct clinical care, and administrative supervision of clinical services in the inpatient unit (50%) and the Assessment Center (50%) through comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Extra duty for weekend hospital call is paid in addition to base salary and occurs approximately once every 10-12 weeks. Must be Texas Licensed by hire date and Board Certified or Board Eligible. Fluency in Spanish or other foreign language is a plus.

Acclaim Physician Group is currently seeking one full time Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our Employee Health and Wellness clinic for the JPS Health Network. The JPS Health Network system serves the uninsured and the underinsured population of Tarrant County, Texas. We established the clinic in the summer of 2012 as the first true clinical site dedicated to serve the care givers (the employees and their dependents) of the JPS Health Network.

The provider selected for this role will be working a four 10 hour day schedule. The hours will be from 7am to 5pm Tuesday through Friday. The first hour of operation is reserved for walk-in patients. During this walk-in time the census is variable. There could be as few as 1 patient or up to 10 patients. The balance of the day will be spent seeing scheduled primary care patients.

Required Education/Experience:

The John Peter Smith Pediatrics and Family Medicine Departments have an opening for a Physician/Faculty member to teach within the John Peter Smith Family Medicine Residency program in Fort Worth, Texas.  Expected qualifications include: interest and demonstrated competence as an educator; several years practice experience; but would consider recent graduates with teaching or chief resident experience.

The JPS Family Medicine Residency is the largest in the country (22 residents per class with a total of 80 residents and fellows) and was ranked #3 by peers in 2015 by US News and World Report.

This physician will be part of a team of providers teaching and precepting Family Medicine residents, transitional residents and medical students in both the outpatient clinic setting and the newborn nursery.

 

Position Details Include

  • Outpatient clinic volume is approximately 20-25 patients per day
  • Clinic patient age range: birth to 18 years of age
  • New Born Nursery Volume: Approximately 4,500 births per year
  • No building a practice.  The volume is already here.

Applicant Requirements

  • Must have a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an approved college of Medicine/Osteopathy
  • Must be board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics
  • Must be able to obtain a Texas Medical License

  • Must be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behavior
  • Must be comfortable working in a large public/county facility
  • Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge in area assigned, and competency in assessment techniques, diagnosis and treatment processes that apply to the assigned medical specialty area
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and oral communication skills to work effectively with other health care professionals and serve as a resource to the community
  • Must be self-directed and take initiative to develop and participate in community activities and medical outreach programs pertaining to the medical specialty area
  • Spanish fluency is preferred
