Description:  The Senior Billing Collections Representative is responsible for billing, collections and reconciliation of all insurance claims. Monitors recurring rejected claims to management for evaluation of impact on the timely filing of claims. Reviews claims for accuracy, performs required edits, submits claims and/or rebills to payers daily to ensure timelines of claim submission. Researches and responds to incoming patient, payer, physicians and or representative inquiry by telephone and/or mail. The John Peter Smith Pediatrics and Family Medicine Departments have an opening for a Physician/Faculty member to teach within the John Peter Smith Family Medicine Residency program in Fort Worth, Texas.  Expected qualifications include: interest and demonstrated competence as an educator; several years practice experience; but would consider recent graduates with teaching or chief resident experience.

The JPS Family Medicine Residency is the largest in the country (22 residents per class with a total of 80 residents and fellows) and was ranked #3 by peers in 2015 by US News and World Report.

This physician will be part of a team of providers teaching and precepting Family Medicine residents, transitional residents and medical students in both the outpatient clinic setting and the newborn nursery.

 

Position Details Include

  • Outpatient clinic volume is approximately 20-25 patients per day
  • Clinic patient age range: birth to 18 years of age
  • New Born Nursery Volume: Approximately 4,500 births per year
  • No building a practice.  The volume is already here.

The John Peter Smith Hospital District and the Behavioral Health Network have embarked on a comprehensive redesign of mental health services for Tarrant County, Texas.  The Acclaim Physician Group, Inc., an affiliate of John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas is looking for an Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist to join the faculty of the Department of Psychiatry.

The Department of Psychiatry is highly collegial, and values evidence-based clinical practice and a commitment to teaching and research. Providers have the opportunity to supervise residents in psychiatry, family medicine and emergency medicine, medical students, and physician assistant and nurse practitioner students in the adult inpatient hospital.  The Department of Psychiatry staffs the John Peter Smith Hospital Network’s Behavioral Health Services that include: Adult and Adolescent inpatient services, long term care unit, med/psych unit, comprehensive Consultation Liaison, including trauma services, 24 hour Psychiatric Emergency Center, Assessment Center, Urgent Walk-in Clinic, five (5) Outpatient Clinics and four (4) community-based Partial Hospital Programs. The inpatient services are designed around a collaborative multi-disciplinary team that includes psychiatrically trained Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Social Workers, a Clinical Pharmacist, and experienced nursing staff – all committed to a recovery-oriented approach to care.

Provider will provide leadership, direct clinical care, and administrative supervision of clinical services in the Adult Inpatient unit at Trinity Springs Pavilion (50%) and our Local Commitment Alternative facility (50%) through comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning.

Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:

The Acclaim Physician Group, Inc. an affiliate of John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas is looking for a qualified full-time Child and Adolescent Outpatient Psychiatrist to join the faculty of the Department of Psychiatry. 

The John Peter Smith Hospital District and the Department of Psychiatry has embarked on a comprehensive redesign of mental health services for Tarrant County, Texas. The Department is highly collegial, and values evidence-based clinical practice and a commitment to teaching.

The outpatient services are designed around a collaborative multi-disciplinary team that includes psychiatrically trained Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Social Workers and a nursing staff that is experienced, committed and collaborative.  Faculty has the opportunity to supervise residents in psychiatry, family medicine and emergency medicine, medical students, physician assistant students and nurse practitioner students. The Department of Psychiatry staffs the John Peter Smith Hospital Network’s Child and Adolescent services in five (5) Outpatient Clinics in Tarrant County.  The C&A clinics operate various days and half days Monday through Friday. 

Faculty will provide leadership, direct clinical care, and administrative supervision of clinical services in the outpatient clinic through comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Weekend inpatient call occurs approximately once every 10-12 weeks. Candidate must be willing to treat adults as well as adolescents when on call.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Keep abreast of and review, recommend and implement, subject to the approval of the Executive Leadership, new services and technologies for the clinic/clinical area and or service line.
  • Participate in professional organizations and activities to develop support and to enable the District to continue to attract qualified medical and support staff.
  • Assist the District as requested in community education and public relations regarding services available in the clinic/clinical area and or service line.
  • Be knowledgeable and provide consultation and input on development and implementation of operational policies and programs to comply with directives of the federal and state agencies that may affect the clinic/clinical area and or service line.
  • Participate in clinical integration, system integration, and business process redesign programs in the organization.
  • Provide such additional administrative and consultative services as the Executive Leadership team may reasonably request.
  • Assist Executive Leadership in formulating, implementing and monitoring policies and programs for quality assessment, performance improvement, safety, utilization review, risk management and cost effectiveness in the clinic/clinical area and or service line.

Qualifications and Skills

Required Education and Experience:

  • Must have a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an approved college of Medicine/Osteopathy.
  • Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with at least a year of experience in a clinical leadership role (3 or more years preferred).

Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:

  • Board eligible/certified Geriatrician highly preferred, may consider board certified FM/IM providers with extensive geriatric experience.
  • Have or be eligible for Texas Medical License.

The Acclaim Physician Group is currently seeking one full time Critical Care Pulmonologist to join our group.  In this full time role the physician selected will have the opportunity to teach our Emergency Medicine and Family Practice residents and local medical students Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. 

The role would entail responsibilities in the ICU and both inpatient and outpatient pulmonary medicine.  The hospital and clinic locations are located at the main JPS Health Network campus just south of downtown Fort Worth. 

Join our collegial and team focused group of Intensivists in our very new 36 bed ICU.     

Specific Details: ICU:

  • Rotating schedule of days and nights
  • Teaching opportunities with very bright Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine residents
  • Number of shifts determined by percentage of critical care coverage (vs pulmonary)
  • Medical ICU (covering cardiology, neurology / stroke, general medical needs)
  • Average of 15 – 20 patients per day
  • Closed ICU
  • Procedures: central venous cath, arterial cath, ventilator monitoring, pulmonary artery cath, chest tube placement, intubation, etc…
  • Working location for this position is at the main JPS Health Network campus, only

Specific Details: Outpatient Pulmonary:

  • Number of clinics determined by percentage of pulmonary time
  • 14-16 patients per day
